G.I. Wood Screws are traditional wood screws made from steel and coated with a layer of Galvanized Iron (G.I.). This coating provides corrosion resistance, making them suitable for use in damp, outdoor, or corrosive environments. They feature a sharp point, coarse threads, and a tapered shank designed specifically to grip wood fibers securely.
- Outdoor Wood Structures: Decks, fences, pergolas, sheds, playsets, garden beds.
- Marine Applications: Docks, boat repairs (where saltwater exposure occurs).
- Damp Interior Areas: Bathrooms, basements, laundry rooms.
- General Construction: Framing, subflooring, sheathing, attaching trim (especially exterior trim).
- Furniture & Cabinetry: Outdoor furniture, utility cabinets, or anywhere moisture resistance is desired.
- Attaching Wood to Other Materials: Securing wood to metal brackets or fixtures (use when the screw threads primarily engage the wood).
