The main tee in a ceiling suspension system (also known as a grid ceiling or drop ceiling) is a primary structural component that supports the ceiling panels and other grid members.

- Runs parallel in one direction, forming the main framework of the grid.
- Connects with cross tees (secondary tees) to create a stable grid layout.
